So, anyone with a Wacom tablet (specifically interested in Intuos Pro or Cintiq) tried Golden Gate? Do they work?

Thanks in advance.

I don't have the beta installed to check with my Wacom tablet... but I've read in the compatibility thread here that it is NOT working at this time. This is obscenely early in the beta process to worry about things like this. I'm sure by August, the vast majority of incompatible apps will be working.

I'm holding off on Golden Gate until at least beta 4 — Wacom drivers historically lag macOS by a release or two. On past beta cycles the Intuos Pro usually gets basic cursor and click first, then pressure curves, ExpressKeys / radial menu, and tilt come back later, so even when it "works" you can lose features mid-project. If you're depending on it for client work, stay on 26.x until Wacom posts an updated driver. Their downloads page usually updates a week or two before the changelog catches up.

It's not working. Probably the usual Wacom hard-coded version check again – this happened last year as well. I've fallen back to OpenTabletDriver for now, which isn't great, but at least lets me use my pen as a mouse. If anyone wants more details on how I set this up, let me know.

Hm. I remember Wacom working with the Tahoe beta. Don't remember if it was developer beta, though.

The reason I ask is that I'm interested in installing it when the Public Beta comes out, but I won't do it if I can't use my Cintiq or Intuos Pro.

Success Golden Gate beta 5, used "Connect my tablet" installed version 6.3.37-3, PTH-860 (Intuos pro L) working.
At first pen was not recognised touch was working, then again removed all all-users preferences and restarted , enabled wacom in all system settings - everything now works normally.

Great info! That's how I got my Intuos Pro working on Tahoe. Pretty straight-forward using that app. Still that same driver version too, I see. 🙂

Going forward, Wacom support is now my biggest compatibility worry with new OS versions. Them having dropped my PTK/PTH-tablets from the official support list wasn't on my bingo card at all when buying a new Mac earlier this year.

That's interesting - never heard of this before. Will keep an eye on this project as a fallback.
