Can Apple take on Google Search solely based on the strength of iPhone?

Apple has a ton of loyalists primarily from iPhone but also due to OS X, iPad, and the Mac. They are obviously great at software.

If they were to take a stab at search engines, how many of you would move to Apple's search engine?

I would say literally no one.

no, but with the Apple Watch, yes.

why? wearables will move search querries to very specific near-by location querries.

It would be a great idea for Apple to dive into it

I would definitely try an Apple search engine and would switch if it's better. A social network too. Facebook is ugly and Google is kind of plain.
