can Cntl/Cmd/D be disabled from the OS?

I'd like to reclaim it for a shortcut in QuickSilver.
I've toggled off Keyboard prefs/shortcuts/services/searching/Look up in Dictionary.
And removed the shortcut there. Restarted. Still can't reclaim Cntl/Cmd/D from the system.
