Click to expand... i wouldnt reccomend this theory for external hard drives, or flash based memory sticks, however for other things you should be fine.

Click to expand... I'm not concerned about the devices that will be connected to the expresscard, only the connection of the expresscard to the MBP. I'll still eject any drives before unplugging them.
