Can Face ID fail rendering the iPhone locked/unusable?

It’s a touchscreen phone... it wouldn’t matter because you wouldn’t be able to use it anyway.

Not sure if you’re serious, but just in case.

Then you do a hard reset:

Press volume up
Press volume down
Press and hold side button until the Apple appears.

If that doesn’t fix it, you 1) put it into DFU mode or 2) Call/bring it to Apple.
