I know that the ecobee can control the temperature and fan from within its own app however does anyone know if I can control just the fan from HomeKit? Can I turn on the fan independently of the Heat/Cooling? If so how does it appear in HomeKit? As a separate fan accessory?

I didn’t have a lot of time to look into it, but I couldn’t even figure out how to turn the fan on by itself the other day. So I wasn’t even sure if my Ecobee4 would allow the fan to be on by itself anyway.

It maybe a bit limiting but you can turn the fan on via Homekit.

Control of ecobee functions are done through scenes. So you’d need to make a “Air handler fan”, “Furnace fan”, etc scene.

The limitation maybe the HVAC only using one scene at a time. So you may need a fan scene for cool, heat and off system settings.
