Hello,

On my iPhone I have the "You got mail" sound setup for incoming mail. Is there away that I can add a custom sound on my mail app in my Mac?

Do you mean an actual person saying that, or just the "new messages" tone?

There is a "New messages sound" preference in Mail > Preferences > General, but you can't add custom ones, that I can see.

Yeah, you put them in ~/Library/Sounds

I know you're new to the Mac and not sure how much you know already, but Apple doesn't give us direct access to the Library folder anymore, so to get to it we go through the Go to Folder under Go in the menu when you're in Finder.

You might have to restart Mail.app before it shows up as an option.

Thank you for the reply.

I'm in the folder right now but it's empty or the files are hidden.
