That's the question. Am I able to bring my unlocked iPhone 6 over to sprint. I'd rather not have to buy another iPhone at full price from them and then sell this current one.

If you're looking to take advantage of their promotions/incentives you have to turn in your phone and buy a new one from them.
 
You can ask them to activate it. Their policy has been since day one never to activate a phone not made for their network though.

In light of the new unlocking stuff going on however, they may activate it. But there is nothing in the law or the CTIA agreement that says they have to.

If the OP gets a decent rep they might be able to apply the iPhone for Life option (Unlimited, $50/month) to the current phone.

I say might. A lot of these promotions were started before the unlock policy changed.

Which after all the add ons still will come to just under $100 a month :-/

That's kind of what I'm shooting for. That 50 dollar plan looks really good. I blow through way too much data as it is. Worst case I can sell this phone.
