I am pretty sure that the answer to the OP's query is a resounding "No". Students get offered discounts and iPods; refurbs are a different category & market, where your status does not affect the nature of your purchase - as it would in order to be able to avail of the student discount - anyone, irrespective of status, occupation, age, etc can buy a refurb.

If you can float the money up front, you'd probably make out better buying in the store with the iPod and printer. Think of it this way:

(Mac - discount) + printer + iPod - (cost of printer on eBay) = net price.
