Can i change processor G4 to intell core duo????

It's a bit harder. The MBP is a bit thinner and a bit wider than the PB. Also, you would need to totally kill everything internally for it to work.

i dont understand why people dont listen. When I ask a question and i ask of course because I have no idea what the answer is, so i ask. When I get an answer from someone who knows what they are talking about I accept that answer. When someone gives you a NO!!!! Thats what it means, NO!!!! You cannot change the processors and they are not the same regardless if they are the same size. LMAO. Even if you could why would you want to it would be cheaper to just buy another laptop. Too expensive you say, well it would most likely be more expensive to change all that would be needed if it could be done which it cant. They now have a thing called the mac mini for those who cannot afford their other computers. So I hope that your question is answered and try to take peoples word for it especially when they just might know what they are talking about or give you a definite answer like NO!!!. Buy a new one, it also comes with a warranty. lol. If you have a g4 or g5 you can use everything on the mac mini which is very cheap. I believe that they are intel and if its not then go used or refurbished. I have found that macs are very reliable and durable and seem to last forever. I got lucky I found this girl who just had a kid and got pregnant again and she needed to get money fast to buy a crib so she sold a 2008 and that was built at the end of that year october or september which means it got out a few weeks later macbook 550. She ended up making a mistake on the ad and said it was a macbook air and me not owning a mac before i didnt no the difference so when I got home i figured out that it was just a macbook which is still cool because i found a site that by typing in the serial number they will give you an estimate on what they will pay you and they would pay me 500 for my macbook which means they would add another300 easy to the price. Well once I complained that she lied and that I wanted a macbook air she offered me 100 back. I agreed but then she makes another deal lol and asks me if I want 300 dollars worth of shick shaving products because she is head of the marketing department lol so I tell her its a deal if she doubles the amount to 600 worth. LMAO. She agrees since she can send out products to businesses and I have my own business. I end up getting 2 boxes fed ex and add all they stuff up after visiting shoppers drug mart online for the prices and it adds up to over 800 worth of shaving products. I couldnt believe it. Long story a little shorter, I end up selling everything minus a few things like the electric beard trimmer they have which is the only thing I shave with anyways is clippers always have scruff. I sell the rest in 2 days to four different people for a total of 495. LMAO. I payed the macbook 55 dollars in the end and a little walking to sell the shaving products. I couldnt believe it and I still cant. My whole point is that I am using a used Macbook and it is like new and it works beautifully. I have heard stories about macs and they have all been good. I had bought a g4 before this one and it was about 9 years old and it works great and the guy said that he never had a problem. If you want to save money go to kijiji and wait patiently I have seen deals only to find them too late or they just sell fast. If you have an intel pc you can install mac os x on it. Google it and you will find out different ways all you need to do is buy the os like snow leopard which apple sells dirt cheap like 30 bucks. lol. awesome. And read up and set up the bios on your pc so that it boots from the cd when it starts and some other tricks which you can find if you just look for it. I have my laptop now running os x lol I didnt even need this but Im glad I got it because its awesome.

I just stumbled on this site and saw the thread and not really paying attention to dates I saw some fool trying to convince himself that he can make a power mac an intel and convinced he is write while being told that he cannot and that its impossible. I also saw someone who is may be unable to buy another mac or maybe too cheap to buy another one so he just wont give it up. So I did what I felt like doing and that was write whatever I choose to write and felt like sharing a little story for whatever reason I wanted too and then I get the macrumors police writing some real gibberish and who feels the need to question what other people just feel like doing. I felt like writing what I did because this poor soul just wont give it up. Of course I should have payed more attention to see if the thread was old but I didnt and proceeded to tell this person myself that he needs to give it up and that he should basically accept the answer NO. Well it seems that someone saw it so the person who started this question (which are on here to be answered of course) would see my input and that he would be better off buying another mac if he wants an intel processor and that there are many ways to buy one and sometimes you just might get lucky. I'm not the MR police, I was just curious on how you came upon this thread and why you felt the need to resurrect it, as it happens often, that an old thread is resurrected without any further information added by posters who just register to make this one post.

You do realize that Wulliwolf asked a simple question and never made another post in this thread right? People said no a whole bunch of times but he never replied. So... I don't think he was convinced he was right while being told he can't. Either way it's impossible to tell since he never actually replied to anything in this thread.

The way you describe it, sounds like he kept saying he could while everyone was telling him it was impossible. If you actually read the thread, you'd see this isn't the case. I find it amusing that you posted this massive post to something that didn't even happen.
