Wait a minute. The icon has lined paper WTF?

So it's like "This is how the notepad was (icon). This is how it is NOW! "

Don't you think we improved the .....wheel? :D

Exactly. They graphics were nice when it all first came out but after awhile we really don't need technology to look like real world objects anymore. I think we all know what purpose it serves without them now.

    My eyes hurt

I couldn't care less a bout design. But my health is another story.

I never use a white background for reading, writing text. Especially with these things.

Agreed.. it looks like an old-school txt file. Honestly some of the look of this thing feels kinda retrograde. The blinding white with superthin black text is kinda offputting,

    Yep. Not happy.

And you know what? I kinda had the feeling this would happen. Hubris.

    Let Johnny run wild :D

It all stinks of artsy fartsy

Maybe it's time to switch back to Windows, now that that idiot Balmer is gone. I came from there, maybe I shall return.

Id hate that. I'm all wrapped up in this eco

Then again, all they need to do is give me some YELLOW BABY!

    My sentiments exactly.

One thing you can do, go to Accessibility options... Set triple click home to invert colors.

Now, when your retinas burn from Ive's paradise of white light, triple click your home button to invert it to white text on black background.

I have to do it all the time, although the colors can clash badly.

On closer appearance, Notes does have a papery texture. I'm going to have to dig into the settings to see what sorts of customization there are. Overall I'm kinda fascinated by all the new stuff and think I'll get used to it, but the white theme is kinda overdone.

In the past, Apple listens when we say "Goofed"

    Let's hope for continuity :)
