can I clone the HD from a Core Duo to a C2D MBP?

I just got a new 2.33 C2D MBP and would like to clone the HD from my "old" 2.16 Core Duo MBP, using Superduper or CCC.
Is that going to work, given the two different chipsets? Both HDs are 160GB.

I just cloned my Core 2 Duo Macbook to a Core Duo mini and it worked fine.

The type of processor makes no diffrence. It should work fine
