You've both been less than helpful. Has anyone cut a leather loop band and posted photos of the results? I'm sure a lot of people would really benefit from knowing.

Yasser, no sir, please don't cut leather loops sir.
While it may be something you can do,
it will make your band look like poo.

From haiku to Seuss. Now who is up for iambic pentameter?

Shall I compare thee to a thundering day?
Thou cut band edges as jagged as the moonlight on the angry tide,
You posted this on the Macrumours forum, It'll look sh*t is what we say.
Writing about cutting a band by the throat on a forum, you would be taken for a ride.

The river of sarcasm brimming, slipping over the edges.
Your Haikus don't repent for the crimes in which you talk to commit
The trolls of which you address, nibbling at your pledges
If you want to ruin your leather band, give it to those who covet it (See Leather Loop forum)

So yes friend, you can offend,
    Cutting the loop's vein
But none on the site are gonna pretend,
That the sight won't bring you pain.

Are you a psycho? We all considered,
Is he just trolling? We all hope
He is insane, we all embittered.
Save the band, we pleaded nope.

I tried! It isn't the best! But in my GCSE's, I can safely say I never needed to compose a poem related to a piece of leather...

Lol! Well anything apparently can happen on this forum. I applaud a job well done and so quickly, too. It is fitting that our first sonnet would come from a UK member!

I will try to help before the thread is closed. I think the problem will be a rough frayed edge after you're done. I think when manufactured, they treat the edges somehow after cutting. So you might consult with a leather shop of some sort about doing this professionally. Shouldn't be very expensive. But you have to find such a place.

Perhaps a shoe repair shop. They often handle other leather repairs, such as handbags.

That said, all the poetry in this thread is pretty hilarious!

The first of many, to be perfectly honest it is the kind of thing I would do during the next Pre-Order wait :')

Picture slicing your phone in half with a buzzsaw, that's the general idea. Not recommended my friend.
