Hi all:

I’m working on an iOS/iPadOS app that I’d like to distribute to friends and family (not on the App Store). Can I use TestFlight or something similar to deploy this app without getting a paid developer account?

Thanks,
Macnerd01

No, you need to be 18 to enroll in the developer program. A parent or guardian can enroll and share a (preferably new) account with you, but it will be under their name, since they would be the responsible party. You can transfer stuff to your own account when you are old enough.

That would be for testers, who only need an AppleID. To enroll in the developer program (to deploy the beta to be tested) you need to be 18.
