I'm thinking about making a movie timed to music this weekend.

There are a couple of things I am planning on wanting to do.
1) Have the same clip played more than one time, but flipped around.
2) Maybe "zoom in" on some clips.
3) Have one clip fade into another while another one fades in.

Possible?

Yes you can do 2 of them at least

1. Import the clip a couple of times and in the editing tab select Video FX use Fast/Slow/Reverse
2. Dunno about this one - try a few of the Video FX and see
3. Cross dissolve in transitions will handle that for you

yes get the clip and APPLE + C then APPLE + V to copy the clip more then once

2nd one is like the Ken Burns effect for photo's but if you mess around in the TRANSITIONS tab you will find something there to suit your needs,
the 3rd question is easy - dissolve transition - set it to say 0.05 and drag over the 2 clips.

enjoy

Thanks for the advice.

What's a good site for iMovie plugins? How capable is it? I'm big into timing things to music. Is it up for it?
