Can I download and open torrents on iPad

    You can't do it. There are no apps that support downloading torrent files and Apple won't approve one.

    That last part is kind of moot considering cydia is around

    so jailbreak and cydia...

    yes, torrent download to computer. encode for itunes/ipad, sync with ipad.

    I *think* the OP's asking if there's a torrent client app (i.e. Azureus, uTorrent) for the iPad. Jailbreak required there! :)

    Torrenting to iPad is Easy

    You know I have seen this answered incorrectly twice in 2 days.
    If the question is can you download torrents easily to an iPad the answer is YES. :eek: dTunes has been around I think since 2008 but is only available via Cydia.
    I use it every day on the iPad. So it is only available on a jailborken iPad though.

    That and tethering from my iPhone to my iPad are 2 big reasons to jailbreak.
    I have to say I prefer to torrent to my PC to a directory that is then listed on my Air Video Server then streamed to my iPad wirelessly. But when away from mi casa dTunes is fine.
