If you can prove that your deaf then you might be able to get a data and text plan without voice.

#1 They won't do that. My mother is deaf and we asked if they could do a text line only and they said they can't do that.
#2 unless you and the person you know both know sign language and how to communicate fluently, your plan will not work.

On #1 Im pretty sure there is plans for the deaf or hearing impared. Maybe the store rep you went to didnt want to help or had no idea they have them available.
