I have decided to take the plunge and purchase an iPhone 8 plus. I plan on using money from my trade in to help cover the cost. I currently have a 128GB Black iPhone 7 Plus. It is in great condition and looks brand new. I am willing to use any method of trade in. Does anyone know what website would get me the highest value? I am also considering using ecoatm. I will do trade in soon so I would think I can still get at least $500 for it.

Thoughts?

I sold my 128 gb Jet Black 7+ on Swappa 9/27 for $630 and it still shows the last sold 128 gbs going for 550 or more.

Would anyone recomend ebay? I have been selling on ebay for 6 years, and I feel like I could get a lot for my phone. Would also include a case from apple that costs $40.

It's doable. Is it unlocked? Do you have the original box and accessories? Is their still warranty on the device? Any cases coming with it? If yes, use this to you advantage.

If selling on eBay, Craigslist, or kijiji, make sure you post plenty of good quality photos (including screen shots of it still being under warranty) and compose a thorough description stating it's history (purchased directly from XXXXXX on XXXX), warranty to XXXXX, no iCloud lock, honest condition, etcetera.

Good luck on the sale.

As a potential buyer of a used iPhone 7 Plus 128GB, I can tell you I'm willing to pay up to $600 for one. Note I'm not offering to buy the OP's phone, just saying I'm searching CL and eBay for these prices.

I did two local sales and got $400 and $350 for each of our iPhone 6S 64 GB (unlocked) models on the week of the 8's release.

I am going to try and get around $600 for mine since I still have about a year of AppleCare+ on it. If I can't I will just have Apple refund whats left on my AppleCare and sell it for a little less. Especially if I am selling on Swappa with the shipping and paypal fees.

iPhone 7 Plus 128gb Verizon Unlocked were selling for $550+ (some where posted for $600 doubt those sold at that price) here in GA on Craigslist. I sold mine for $470 after posting for $500. I probably could of pushed it and got the $500 but I wanted a quick sale.

You win! Would never have thought to sell to Gamestop and they literally give you cash on the spot.

Just my anecdotal experience, but I do not trust Gamestop. They will give you cash, but It will be considerably less compared to what they will offer for in-store credit. Not to mention, I don't think they're pricing is necessarily all that competitive compared to what you could sell online and profit from.

Depends if you get in on the promotion in time. Also if you choose cash, it is usually 20% less than store credit.

Cash the same credit on electronics right now . And you can check what your getting back with the GameStop app before you even go into store .

Elite Pro membership is $30 a year, so unless you use it regularly, subtract that from the amount of sale. Also, that amount is likely for a Verizon model. They offer less for other carrier models.

I got $390 for a GSM iPhone 7 256 GB and $132 for a SE 64 GB. Both had some scratches on the screen. This is cash but I did buy the Elite Pro for $30. These were higher amounts than the website quoted because of the Founders promotion this weekend. Doubt I could have done much better and took all of 30 min to complete.

Edit - store credit would have given me $44 more.

just remember the fees...almost 12% from ebay & paypal combined, plus shipping if its free from you or not.
I did ebay valet for my 128gb and got $462 paid in 2 days for a scratched up Jet Black Plus
