Hey everyone,
I've had my iP6 screen replaced by an independent repair shop, and all is working well including touch ID. It remembers the old fingerprints and registers new ones, and unlocks the device just fine.
Do you think I can get error 53 if I update iOS? Also, can I even get it if I update over the air? I've seen all reports of the problem involve iTunes. I wonder if it even happens if you update without iTunes.
Somebody please clear this up for me :)

Only if they changed the Touch ID button

If Touch ID is working, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Sounds like the repair tech transferred your original Touch ID/Home button, otherwise, Touch ID would be disabled.

Have you reset iOS ever, after you had the reair done? I think the error 53 happens if you update or reset iOS.
