Can I get hotspot feature with my unlimited data plan?

Can I use hotspot without canceling Verizon's unlimited plan?
I have Verizon's Unlimited data plan.
Last week I heard FCC approved that all unlimited data users can use the hotspot with a monthly fee as of Aug 2012, so I stopped by one of Verizon's store yesterday.

A guy told me I can't get hotspot feature while I am keeping an unlimited data plan.
He was like what the hell this guy is talking about so I told him about FCC and showed an article to him.
He said "What is FCC? KFC? And the article is too old, many things has been changed. I don't know the thing about I don't know."
Well, I got really tired of his attitude so I left.

Is that true I can't use hotspot while I have an unlimited plan?

I think with Verizon you can use the hotspot feature on an unlimited data plan but you will have to pay extra for that feature per month.
I'd call them up to verify though.

I would like to pay extra fees if I really can use.
I will call them nxt week.

I wish if iTweaks found a way to hack how to unlock hotspot with CDMA iPhone before i made a call to VZ lol

Yeah I think you can, I believe it's an extra $30 though.

If I could use hotspot, I will cancel TWC asap.

If you JB your iphone you could then install a hack to get unlimited hotspot with no additional fee from verizon.

2 days ago I was exhausted and sleepy and then somehow I upgraded from iOS6.02 to iOS6.14 lol
You know, there is no way you can JB on 6.14...
I thought if I upgraded my iPhone5 to iOS7 then downgrade to iOS6, maybe I could get iOS6.02 back by backup, but I am not sure even though I already tested on my iPhone 4 for developing.

Unfortunately you cannot go back down to earlier firmware to jailbreak your iphone 5.
Only thing you can do is wait for ios 7 to be jailbroken in the near future.

You won't be able to get 6.0.2 back unless you saved blobs for it using TinyUmbrella before you upgraded.

I'm not sure the exact price for the hotspot feature, but $30 seems to have been stuck in my head because I remember reading about it in another thread awhile back.

Even with full blobs saved for that device currently you cannot downgrade a 4S or iphone 5. Only iphone 4 and older iphone models can use shsh blobs to restore to older unsigned firmware versions.

This, and I think they have like a cap for that feature. However, the cap is feature exclusive and won't affect your unlimited plan.
