can I get Safari off dock in Macbook Pro

I'm running El Capitan 10.11.6 - can I get Safari icon off dock. no need to uninstall, just want it out of sight.

You shoud be able to just drag it off. Is it coming back after a reboot?

Right-click the icon, Options, Keep in the dock (uncheck).
You are aware you're posting in a iOS forum and not MacOS El Capitan?
