I'm running Tiger server (only the file server functions, not email or any other services). I'm serving a volume that's a soft Raid 1 (using Disk Utility). Is there any easy way to have the server inform me if one of the drives in the mirrored pair fails? That said, is there a similarly easy way to receive notification if the temps on the server (G4 laptop) exceed a certain point?
BTW, I've tried Server Monitor but it seems to only work with Xserv hardware, not with just any hardware that's running OSX Server.
Any ideas?
