Can I have Firefox 2 and 3?

I have Firefox 2 installed and I like it. Can I install Firefox 3 and keep 2 or will it overwrite it (and just leave me with 3 🙁)?

Use a different directory for the other one you want to keep, and a different app launcher for each.

IE, a different icon. I once updated a program, but the old dock icon wouldn't work any more, so I had to drag the new program to the dock.

If you want to have different addons / bookmarks etc. for both Firefox apps, you'll have to start by opening terminal and typing:

./Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -profilemanager


then create a new profile, and untick 'don't ask at startup.
You'll need to do this if you have incompatible addons in either one of your Firefox Apps.
