Turning off the systems services in setting help most people personally I leave everything on and at the end of a 16-18 hour day I still have upto 50% battery left. That's with an Apple watch connected

Lucky you I guess. # I had already turned off everything unnecessary but from my observation my battery still decreases way too much compared to my father's who leaves everything on, always have his cellular data on..

Software is unpredictable. If you're having that bad of an experience, there's something causing it. You can go to the Settings--> General ---> Usage --> Battery Usage ----- give us a screenshot of that. Without that, it's all conjecture.

That will tell you what your #1 use is. People who play heavy graphic games and leave their screen on all the time won't get anywhere near the battery life of someone who uses their phone for occasionally texting, viewing a webpage, checking email. People who game will barely get a day out of their phone. Those I mentioned that occasionally text may see 2-4 days on a charge.

I am an average user - I do Clash of Clans, I text a lot, check out my Jawbone UP progress, and Hangout throughout the day. I'll use about 30-50% a day in battery on average. My phone spends most of its time plugged in on my desk. Bluetooth, WiFi, 5min screen timeout, a still wallpaper, reduced motion ON.

Can't emphasize enough - starting from fresh can help a lot. Completely factory reset - do not restore from backup. Can fix a malfunctioning app that's pegging the CPU --- but your Battery Usage should tell you that.

    1. Play games while plugged in only. Seriously, get a 6ft cable on Amazon.
    2. Do not leave phone in the sun - heat kills your battery capacity.
    3. Charge your phone as often as you can. Leaving it plugged in won't hurt it. Do not let it go below 20% if you can help it.
    4. Do not close apps - closing apps will drain your battery more in the long run.
    5. Turn your brightness down. It helps a lot.
    6. Set your screen to time out after 1-3 minutes.

There are no issues with using the phone while charging.
