Can I install a windows partition on an External HD

I use my mac mostly for (amateur)video editing, but I have to frequently take rode trips. I would like to install windows so I could play more games, but my Internal Hard drive is over-flowing. So can I put Windows and the Partition on my External Hard Drive :confused:
