Can I install and run windows off an external SSD

Can I do this? Will only need windows for one thing really and probably only temporary. So thinking of this to save space.

Boot Camp is not available for Apple Silicon Macs due to software licensing of Windows for ARM being exclusive to Qualcomm powered PCs.

If you want to run Windows on your Macbook, you will need to install VMWare Fusion and create a Windows virtual machine from that.
