Can i install on 2 MacBooks?

    I just bought a new Macbook pro and got the free upgrade to mountain lion. If i was to install mountain lion on my old macbook will i need to pay for it or can i use the free upgrade i got?

    Legally, you have to pay for a copy of Mountain Lion.

    Mac operating systems are 'family' licensed since (I think) Snow Leopard.

    Yes you can, I confirmed with Apple. Each Mountain Lion license is valid for up to 5 of your Macs. This includes licensed granted through the free upgrade.
