I guess that depends on the key. You'll need some media to install from too. Do they give you an ISO to download or somewhere to pick up a DVD?

I'm still hoping the keys from the retail upgrade DVDs I pre-ordered with the ISOs I downloaded from TechNet so I can perform a clean install.

I think you will need an installation DVD to install windows. Are you upgrading Windows or doing a clean install?

I downloaded Windows7 from Microsoft using Boot Camp with XP and then used the ISO to burn it onto a DVD disk. Then I did a new install of Windows using the key Microsoft emailed me in the process.
