I have the new 13" MBP with SD card slot. I just bought a 32gb SD card for $25. Can I install Windows 7 on the SD and boot from it on the Mac? Do all the drivers work? Do I have to use BootCamp?

I just read that the SD card slot runs on USB. You can't install Windows on a USB drive without some hacks.

Hoping someone has tried this boot windows 7 from sd card idea

I was just wondering if after more then a year anyone has tried this?

I got a new Macbook Pro Core i7 and Id love to be able to boot Windows 7 or Ubuntu 10.10, each stored on a SD or SDHC card, most likely 32 or 64GB. I've read a number of forum posts, how to's, etc. but i have seen some mixed answers.

Even if it worked im wondering if the read/write speed would be anywhere fast enough to be usefull when compared to a hard drive? even with a High Quality extra fast SDHC card?

Thank you in advance for any thoughts/feedback.
