I swapped mine yesterday with no issue. That SIM goes back 8 years to my iPhone 5s.
The SIM goes back to my 5s but I actually upgraded from a 6s Plus (still a pretty big jump, 6 years). I’m fairly impressed with the new OLED ProMotion display and the overall responsiveness of it. Battery life, camera and built-in audio quality are certainly noticeable improvements as well.Wow what phone did you upgrade do and how does it feel from the 5s to now and why did it take you 8 years to upgrade wow !!!!
So you don’t have a 5G Sim card in there. Is that correct? Would it be advisable to get one from your provider? The SIM goes back to my 5s but I actually upgraded from a 6s Plus (still a pretty big jump, 6 years). I couldn't use my old XS Max Sim for the 12 Pro Max, unless I didn't want 5G. I did contact Verizon to by pass the silly fee though.^ that.
Apparently a new 5G SIM card is needed to benefit from all that 5G has to offer. The old SIM will work but won’t have the 5G tweaks (I’ve heard) or that’s the story the providers are saying
The OP has Verizon and mine is T-mobile so I’m not sure if there’s a difference, it’s entirely possible. But on T-mobile I’m getting 5G service via the old SIM.So you don’t have a 5G Sim card in there. Is that correct? Would it be advisable to get one from your provider?
Understood, but his is a very old Sim card and Verizon didn’t have 5G way back then, so I just wonder if the OP needed a new Sim card which is easy to get.The OP has Verizon and mine is T-mobile so I’m not sure if there’s a difference, it’s entirely possible.
