Can I keep the ability to 3 finger swipe to go back/forward a page when i update? I want the inertial scrolling (And if i don't like that, can i turn it off?)

Yes, you can keep it; I updated and all of my preferences, except inertial scrolling, of course, stayed the same. I actually can't use three finger swipe at all to move windows around; looks like that feature is Magic Trackpad-only.
you got to enable it in your trackpad preference pane
