Can I merge a local iOS backup to my current iPhone 15 which already has data?

I used to own an iPhone 12 which was bought in 2021 and had years worth of photos, messages and other stuff on it. Then it got stolen and I bought a new phone in February 2024. 1 month after I bought the new phone, the old one was found/returned.

I want to transfer my data from my iPhone 12 to my 15, without erasing/losing the current content of my iPhone 15. I already made a local backup of my iPhone 12 on my MacBook. Any advice?
