So I was there today and I can get apple care on the 16" macbook pro for 299 while it's 339 when in the cart on the apple website. Am I able to buy it seperately like this? Just checking before I pull the trigger, thank you!

I'd love to know the official answer from Apple on this.
Please post when you get the scoop.

I'm pretty sure AppleCare is only available for a Macbook purchased at Costco, and only at the time of purchase. I'm 99% sure I read that somewhere on the site (or in store?). Can't remember.

Not sure about Costco specifically, but I've been doing something like this for a long time. I used to buy AppleCare for $180 from B&H. I stocked up boxes of AppleCare for years like that.

Be careful on where you buy your AppleCare though. I purchased AppleCare from an eBay vendor that was sealed. I attempted to link the iMac and AppleCare and the AppleCare was obsolete by 9 years. Luckily the vendor returned my money. He didn’t know.
