Can i remove this from my dock? (Minimized Windows)

Notice next to the recycle bin, i dont want that programs i minimize goes in the dock, is there a way to change that?

Go to the logo on the upper left menu. Point to Dock > Dock Preferences and uncheck Minimize windows into application icon.

it was added in Snow Leopard, i believe.

That option was added in Mac OS X Snow Leopard - not available in Leopard.

That tip is simply a Terminal command for a GUI option in SL. If you read any of the comments you'd see no one is getting it to work in Leopard.
