Can I replace the glass on a 27" iMac Retina?

I'm thinking about buying an iMac 27" retina. The only problem is the glass on the screen has a crack on the edge. Can I replace it myself, and if so how much will it cost?

No. The glass is fused to the screen.

You have to replace the entire display assembly which costs $500.
