Can I replace the logic board for a better one?

My MBP's logic board just broke and now I'm looking at 1300 to get it replaced. on craigs list I saw a logic board for a 2.33GHz MBP for sale for 600. will this logic board work in my computer.

You'd have to find a logic board from the same revision as your computer (2.2, 2.4, 2.6 I believe). Looks like you have a Santa Rosa MBP, and that 2.33 board is from a previous revision "Merom" MBP. I doubt it will fit correctly

Apple makes changes to the chassis, motherboard mounting points, heatsinks, connections, etc. with each new rev of machine.

Everything would fit and possibly connect up, but your screen is an LED backlight screen, where as the Merom MBPs have a CCFL backlight, so you can not just swap logic boards for those units.
