Can I repurpose an 85w MagSafe 2 for a rMB?

I have a nearly-new 85w MagSafe 2 power brick/cord from one of my wife's old MBPs, model A1424.

I'm considering a rMB. Yes, I realize USB-C vs. MagSafe 2 charging port, but is there any adapter or modification available to help me repurpose this thing?

There's no adapter.

There's a thread here where it's discussed, and there's an adaptor available here/here, though with MagSafe 1. I'd be skeptical of its stability and safety.

Thank you. All seems rather sketchy, and not cheap. Best to just by more real power bricks from Apple.

I guess I can use the plug end/extender with that new style USB-C charging brick. So not totally useless after all!
