I got an iBook video adapter for the TV, but now I want an Apple Display adapter for my VGA screen. I cant find the reciept though. Can I just exchange it, or is there nothing I can do?(I purchased it at my local Apple store)
Thanks!!!!

The easiest thing to do would just be to call your local store and ask.

They probably won't have a problem with it, though, so long as the iBook video adapter is still sealed and new. If you've opened it, I don't think you'll be able to exchange it.

If you paid with a credit/debit card, they can look up your transaction with the card. I think the 14-day return policy still applies even if it's just for an exchange.

Edit: Oh, also if you paid with cash but gave them your name (they ask sometimes), they can search for your transaction with your name.

Usually they will let you return it and just give you store credit. Then you can buy the other adaptor you want

Is it still in the packaging? Have you opened it?

They MAY take it back, but they also may charge you a hefty restocking fee
