Can I return my 5s to an Apple store, even if I bought it at a T-Mobile carrier store? Today was my last day, and I was refused. I remember reading previously, that I could.

Fix your thread title. No one is going to click on something so vague.

Not even if it's unlocked? Hmm.

Even if it's unlocked. If you bought it from the carrier, you have to return it to the carrier.

Warranty exchanges and repairs, however, have to be done at the Apple store.

I can theoretically exchange my Space Gray iPhone 5s for a Gold one?

Only at the carrier store, and only if they have stock available. If not, you can return the phone and order the color you want, waiting for it to arrive.

Warranty replacements at the Apple store are only for the same color, and same capacity.

In the Apple Store? Nope. Warranty exchanges are "like for like" - they won't give you the option of another color or size, even if you offer to pay extra. Your best bet is to exchange at the store where you purchased the phone.

It's a bummer. Tomorrow marks the 31st day of having the phone, I bought it at T-Mobile's carrier store (they have a 30 day return policy, but Apple store was closer, didn't have time to drive to T-Mobile store)

If you buy a something from Walmart can you take it back to Target? T-mobile is the one that you gave money to for the phone, why would you expect apple to pay you to take it back?

You had 30 days to drive there and couldn't make it? This store on another continent or what?

You read wrong or incorrect info. You can't return an iPhone from one place and return to other.

Why are you saying today was your last day? The phone was released exactly four weeks ago today. That's 28 days. Day 30 would be Sunday the 20th. My launch day apple store receipt confirms this by stating the 20th as my return by date. Nobody in the general public has had a 5s for more than 28 days as of today.

Why are you quoting me?

You have little choice and you waited too long.
