    Hello,

I have installed and can run Apache and PHP on my Jailbreaked iPhone however, there is no fun without a database :(.

I want to run example websites (powered by MySQL) for clients from my iPhone, I know I can used my laptop, but I just want it as a proof of concept.

Any help or any other database that will run would be great.

P.S. was told about sqlite but yet again no info on it for the iPhone or iPod Touch.

    Thanks

Apple has an SQLite example up on its iPhone developer site at:

    http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/samplecode/SQLiteBooks/index.html

You'll need to sign in with your iPhone developer credentials to view the iPhone samples (free registration).

Using the SQLite library is pretty straight-forward, and more information about the functions, return values, etc and general SQLite usage can be found at the SQLite website:

    Yes you can...

Hi. I wanted to do the same thing. Turn my iPhone into an Apache, PHP & MySQL web server so that I could put portable web sites and web applications on the iPhone. Also, I don't have an intel mac, so I cant use the iPhone SDK.

It would be a handy thing to have. You could go to a clients office who might not have access to the internet, and connect your phone to their wireless network. Then they could browse your webapps on your iphone from their own PC or laptop. Or you could load up the on the iPhones browser.

I did some googling and found out what you need to do to get it all working on the iPhone. There isn't a complete how-to, just bits an pieces on certain parts, so I put a how-to together of how I got it all working on my iPhone.

I haven't done much with the database yet. I've been busy seeing what sort of things you can do with the file system on the iPhone from php.

So far I've written a photo browser, which can serve up your photos for people to browse (thumbnails and full size).

I've also written an app that scans all the music on the iPhone and lets you browse the albums and listen to them over wifi from your PC. I don't have iTunes at work, so now I can stream audio directly from the iPhone to my Linux Desktop machine, or any other machine in the office for that matter. :D

Next I'm going to try streaming video from my iPhone to my PC and my HTPC.

What basically I want is to fetch data from MySQL database and display it in my IPhone application and after doing some processing in IPhone I want to retrun some information to PHP website in form of XML.

Can any one help me in doing so.

    Files not found

    Hi,

I've noticed a few other people asking on other forums so I thought I'd ask here...

The php/mysql that was for download here http://iamps.byethost24.com/index.php?postid=15

    Now longer links :-(

It would be amazing if someone has them downloaded that I could get a copy of.

Thanks in advance for any help.

What's the point in running AMP on your iPhone if you can do it perfectly fine on a web server?
