Well I was at a Apple store yesterday and asked if they had "the new Ipad" on display. The guy said not until the 16th. I wanted to see it so badly. oh well gotta wait until next friday.

I've never seen Apple have anything to demo (hardware-wise) before it was available for sale in the store.

Though ur average punter will not know the difference between iPad 2 and the new iPad. Just imagine a iPhone 4 quality display in an iPad 2
