I signed up with T mobile. Can I sell the Verizon plan to another person?
No, you cannot. It is non-transferable.
Only if you sell to family plan, where is one line has unlimited already. May be this rule is changed already.
According to the folks here, it's still possible: http://verizonforums.com/threads/se...a-plan-keep-your-number.363163/#axzz3kQBl4nuM
Yes you can.
Please explain, I tried to buy one last year and it wasn't possible. Verizon told me that there was no way to chance the primary account holder on an account.
I've seen people doing it for a good amount of time now. They basically do it via AOL (Assumption Of Liability) which essentially transfers ownership of their plan/account to another person.
Assumption Of Liability would be the way to do it.
Which is what the link above is a walkthrough for.
I am selling it then.
Thank you all for replies.
Why did you decide to drop your Verizon unlimited data?Curious because i am in a similar situation. I have Verizon unlimited data but considering going to T mobile to save a few bucks. Each time i try i just cannot get my self to give it up.
Samsung pay. Verizon hasn't joined in the Samsung pay and I want it. Therefore, I bought a T mobile Galaxy S6 also. The other 4 lines have only 2 GB each and with t mobile, everyone gets 10GB with no overage. And I travel often and international data is free unlimited. With Verizon, I have to pay extra for going to even Canada.
Can the same be done for ATT unlimited plans?
Apparently it's more difficult than VZW's AOL: http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...ll-a-grandfathered-unlimited-data-plan-or-not
I want to tell you I know the guy who bought Att UDP, had no problems to swap AOL
I listed it on ebay few days ago and it will end tonight.
Yes you can sell it, but you lose your phone number.
There are workarounds. You can request to port your number into Google Voice which takes about 24 hours, then make the AOL change.
I've heard stories about the person receiving the account needs to be a business account, not sure if that's true though.
How much did you sell it for?
It is still going. Currently $561.
Edit. Just went up to 601
Let us know how the process goes after the sale, I have an unlimited data plan still and may decide to sell it too
The winning bid was $715. If you have unlimited text on the plan also, you might be able to get more.
The final month's bill was not available until 4 days after the billing period ended. My buyer was very patient and cool about waiting for the process to complete. But it would have been nice if I had timed my auction end date to sync with the billing period end date.
I called Verizon and gave them the assumer's information as soon as the buyer paid.
As soon as the final month's amount was available, I paid online and let the buyer know that the balance was $0.
He then called and assumed liability of the account and he was told it could take up to 24 hours.
It is finally transferred over and he gave me the final text that it worked.
I didn't try to port my number out of Verizon to T mobile because I was afraid I might accidentally close the Verizon account. I had to let others know of my new phone number but I just didn't want to take the chance.
No idea you could do this. Very interesting and good information.
