You can create any domain name you want as long as it's not already taken.

When you say "Start A Web Page" I assume you mean as SBG says that you wish that to be the domain?

Information here about domains...Names are a different thing altogether

You sure can't have "iPad" as a domain name, but you can certainly have pages with iPad as the header if that helps.

    Well, almost.

Apple went after porn sites that had registered domains like "iPhone4S.com".

That's actually pretty interesting...I would have thought that by the time Apple had enough cash that they would have bought ALL those names...Polynesian floral and err...stuff? Well I guess they missed out!:)

You can buy any domain you want, but the problem is whether or not Apple thinks you are infringing upon their trademark or trying to profit from it. Depending upon the kind of website, you will probably be fine (Mac is trademark too I'm sure, but they certainly shouldn't have a problem with MacRumors).

You can try, but be prepared to deal with Apple legal team if they aren't happy about it.

Go for it. The worst that happens is :apple: puts the kibosh on it and then you can let the news outlets know that they squashed the little person with the nice little website.
