Can I swap hard disk between two different macs

I have both the 13 and 15 inch macbook pros. Can I swap the disk between the two and expect the os from my 15 inch to boot up on the 13 inch macbook pro ?

As long as they are both running the latest version of OS X, it shouldn't be a problem.
