Can I sync a used iPhone?

I've recently upgaded my iPhone and have a used 2G that I would like to give to my daughter. Can she register that iPhone on iTunes and enroll it in her AT&T account? She has an AT&T phone number and SIM card.

I had to call AT&T to reactivate a phone. Itunes didn't do it. I also had to get a new sim card first from the ATT store(don't let them charge you for a new sim card if you need one too).

As long as you don't "Restore" the phone or "Update" the software, you do not have to worry about syncing with iTunes. It will want to wipe all the music and data as you set it up on a new computer, but as long as you do NOT reload the OS using the Restore or Update, the jailbreak and unlock will be safe.
