Can I trade my old iPhone 5 in at the Apple store Friday?

I know it's a longshot, I'm going to wait in line Thurs. night at midnight hoping I can get an iPhone 6+ in the morning. Can I trade in my iPhone 5 to go towards the purchase of the. iPhone 6 plus without a preorder, thank you for your time.

Not sure about Apple, did you call them to find out? I know Verizon is doing it, I'm trading my 5 and they're crediting the 200 at checkout.

Yes. They will use their Apply Recycling Program and give you a gift card you can use towards the new phone. https://www.apple.com/recycling/

Just called apple and they said I can trade in my iPhone 5 for an iPhone 6+ assuming it's in stock that day, just as long as I have the unlock code from Sprint. I figured I would go around midnight and wait, I probably won't get one but I would rather go and find out they're sold out than to not go at all and wonder.
