Ships from and sold by Amazon on Prime. Here is the listing, just looks a little cheap. $40 at Apple Store. The case offers only minimal protection and is cheaply made, I have to replace them once a year, but I have yet to find a case that feels better in my hand and allows uninhibited use of the screen. Also, will an XS case fit my X? Thanks!

It very well may be a knock off it’s hard to tell. However I received a knock otter box from eBay in December. It was 12 or 15 dollars compared to their ridiculous 50 or 60. It’s not quite as good but I tell you it’s right there and I can buy three for the price of an otter box. All I can say is we better get more competitive.

Keep in mind that Apple's cases are covered by warranty. They won't replace them if the "frame" of the case is cracked but I've had peeling cases replaced for free before.

Yeah that wouldn’t do me any good, never had peeling the frame always cracks long before that starts. I wish there was a better made alternative, no other case comes close to the sleek low profile of this. All make it significantly more difficult to operate the phone one handed.

The one you linked is from the official Apple Amazon account, ofcourse it's authentic.
I didn’t see anything marking it Apple official or know Amazon was an authorized Apple dealer

Amazon is now a authorized apple reseller. They can now sell brand new iPhones etc. Wasn't that way not too long ago but they hammered out some sort of agreement. But that's only the Amazon Apple Store. There's undoubtedly counterfeit Apple gear getting sold on Amazon from other 3rd party resellers.

I bought a silicone Apple case recently for 11pro on Amazon for around same price, and it seems to be a real Apple case. Just make sure there are returnable. I paid $14.16 with tax. Now it’s $28.03

It might be the same but if you put X in a Xs style case, there's going to be some space under the camera bump, since it's lager on the Xs
Is that going to put me at any serious risk of damaging my phone? I can’t seem to find one for the X, not sure if they discontinued it or what.

No, I purchased an XS case for my iPhone X a few weeks ago. You can barely notice the gap.

It won't damage your phone, of course. But visually, this is the difference

You will find the silicone cases for X on eBay but it's tricky there. There are definitely some genuine ones but you need to do a proper research if you want to get one specifically for the X. Either look for a reputable seller and check the negatvie reviews to see if the cases are fake, or look for listings with actual pictures of the case and some sort of proof of purchase (like a sore receipt or idk). I'm sure there are some real ones but it's also flooded with replicas

I had a battery case that started peeling, never knew they covered that. But I would avoid the silicone cases, very cheaply made and peel so easily. Once it starts peeling off, it doesn't stop. Get the leather for 10 bucks more or another brand.

I've seen some really good deals on the official Apple cases lately. I suspect they're not selling as much as normal and companies want to move the stock.

I tried the leather, not nearly as comfortable in your hand and very little grip.
