Can I upgrade my CD mbp to C2D??

    hey dudes/dudettes,

    would it be possible? i know that mobo can handle it, just wondering if there is any way to update the EFI without wrecking my computer...

    yeap thats for sure. id be willing to pay tho!! could be worth it. heat would be an issue tho

    i would say that it is possible so long as the chips aren't soddered into the motherboard.

    but... for the price you would pay for a core2duo mobile, you might as well just sell your current model and but a new SR. you'd probably be paying the same give or take, but you'd get SR,LED, and all the other new goodies.

    oooohhhh crap thats right!!!!! the chips are soldered onto the mobo... there goes that idea!!! dang

    Buy a new motherboard and replace the old one, that's about all you could do. DON'T, odds are you'll mess it up. If it goes well, if you try, lets see it.
