Hi,

I have the 13.3" white macbook from mid-2008, i have the intel GMA X3100 that came with the machine, any ideas?

Nope, you cannot upgrade the GPU, its soldered onto the logic board.

Yes, you can upgrade it. You need to be familiar with GPU chipset architecture, own a soldering iron, and have a steady hand. While you're in there, you might as well swap out the video memory for lower latency parts too. Good luck.

I know you are having a laugh but soldering irons no longer do the trick. You need a surface mount desoldering/soldering station. :D
