I have a powerbook G4 1.67 GHz running on OS X 10.4.11 ... does anyone know if I can upgrade this to say 10.5 ?
thanks

Can I also upgrade internal hard drive ?

I notice that ithinkergoimac has 250 Gb hard drive on a G4 1.5 GHz, so can I upgrade mine, and if so how do it ? I've got a alu G4 powerbook 1.67 GHz with 100 Gb HDD ...

thanks

Don't do it.
I upgraded my powerbook g4 1.67ghz to 10.5 and it slooooooooooooowed it down.
You're better off enjoying 10.4 rather than fighting the boredom of 10.5 taking so long to load anything on that laptop.

I put Leopard on my 1.67 and it ran just as well as Tiger. I would suggest that you max the RAM out to 2GB, though.

Old thread by todays web standard but I just have to ask. I have around 15gigs left of HD space and would I be ok in installing Leopard or do I need more room? I'm using a Powerbook G4 1.5 with 2gb Ram and 80gig HD.
